Chanaka Kahathuduwa, is a PhD student and a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. Chanaka’s research is mainly focused on the neurophysiological mechanisms that determine human ingestive behavior and he is conducting research using functional MRI. Coming from Sri Lanka, Chanaka has a basic degree in Medicine and a Master’s degree in Neurophysiology from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. In addition to being a graduate student at the Texas Tech University, he functions as a Faculty in Medical Physiology in the Department of Medical Physiology, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Chanaka enjoys playing chess, playing the guitar and singing during his free time. He has been a member of the GNO since August, 2014.
